Creative Cocktails

 In Recipes, Spotlight

Let's say that you have a dinner party coming up, and you planned to serve cocktails because we all know cocktails are better enjoyed with company. You have all the basics including the proper booze, bitters, and garnishes to act as a bartender for your guests.

Now, it's easy to pull off classics such as an Old Fashioned or Gin & Tonic, and you'll never see me say anything bad about these classic cocktails. But sometimes you want to do something different to “wow” the crowd. A properly made classic cocktail is a thing of beauty, but sometimes people want something more modern and flashy.

Well, you're in luck because as a part of our promotional campaign carried out by The Marketing Heaven, we've collected four creative cocktails from our Facebook page and all of them will not only taste delicious, but will also impress all your guests. These creative cocktails may require a few more tools, such as a blowtorch, to be made correctly, but they'll have everyone gushing about your bartending skills.

Let's get started.

Top 4 Creative Cocktails

1) Rosemary Smoked Negroni

With the rise in popularity of sous-vide cooking and aburri sushi, torches have become an essential tool in the kitchen, especially if you want to impress your guests. This drink follows the trend by glamorizing the classic Negroni with a little bit of smoked rosemary.

Following the recipe from VinePair, the Rosemary Smoke Negroni is made like any other Negroni as the ingredients are mixed in a glass with ice. However, the twist comes at the end when you want to garnish the drink. The recipe says to put a sprig of rosemary on top of the drink, outside of the liquid. Then, you use a torch to burn the rosemary, and the smoke is infused into the drink. The best part about this creative cocktail is its simple and easy-to-follow recipe; just make sure to have a torch handy.

The bottom line is that this is the kind of drink that is sure to impress your guests, but it would be wise to make this creative cocktail away from any smoke alarms.

2) Mezcal Creyente Celery Cocktail

Whenever anyone thinks of Mexican liquor, Tequila immediately comes to mind. And that's not surprising as most of us have had a debauched night fueled by this drink. Yet, true cocktail aficionados are talking about Mezcal, the second most popular Mexican spirit. One thing that seperates Mezcal from its more popular counterpart is its greater versatility in the cocktail world.

For this creative cocktail, we are using Mezcal Creyente, which is a smoked version of the drink. This process gives Mezcal Creyente a distinctive smokey taste that separates it from its normal counterpart. Moreover, this cocktail from The Apartment Bartender is unique in that it uses celery juice in place of soda water to give the cocktail more body. Also, a little bit of chili liquor is added for a nice kick.

So, the next time you have a fiesta, maybe go for the Mezcal instead of the Tequila and enjoy this creative cocktail.

3) The Tiki Bonfire Cocktail

Alright, so the first two creative cocktail recipes are simple enough, but what about if you truly want to make an impression?

Well, how about a drink that's on fire? Flashy enough for you?

If so, then you'll love Vinepair's Tiki Bonfire Cocktail. This concotion has several different types of citrus juices mixed with bitters and rum to give you a fruity and satisfying drink. However, the true creative twist to this cocktail is to pour overproof rum on top of the drink, which is then lit on fire to create the fiery visual effect. It's important to be careful when using fire around alcohol as things can get out of hand quickly if you're not careful. Might be best to have a fire extinguisher handy when making this drink, but imagine all the ‘ooohs' and ‘ahhhhs' you'll get once you light up this baby. Visit on this link here.

4) Boulevardier Booze Pops

The last entry in our list of Top 4 Creative Cocktails is the strangest, yet most familiar. We all remember eating popsicles as children on a hot day and enjoyed classic flavors such as purple, blue and red. Well, why not have a throwback to days of past and enjoy your booze in the form of a popsicle?

For this recipe from The Apartment Bartender,  you'll need to use some heat. No, this doesn't mean you'll be using a blowtorch again, but this recipe requires sugar be melted into water on a low heat. After the sugar dissolves, you can add your alcohol and whatever other ingredients you want, such as fresh or frozen fruit. Then, leave everything in a popsicle mold or ice cube tray and you'll be enjoying these booze pops in just a few hours.

On top of being delicious and fun to eat, another advantage of eating your booze is that you can finally shut up those people who say you're drinking too much. Because technically, you're eating your booze, not drinking it.

Well there you have our list of Top 4 Creative Cocktails. I hope you try at least one of these drinks on the list and impress some people on the way.

Stay thirsty.
